Welcome to NASCE

Welcome to the Network of Accredited Skills Centres in Europe (NASCE), established in Stockholm in 2014 as a Multidisciplinary Joint Committee of the UEMS. Our goal is to ensure the highest standards of education for healthcare professionals, ultimately promoting patient safety.

Who We Are

Our governance structure includes the NASCE Council, composed of national representatives, and our Executive Board, led by Chairman Emin Aksoy, Secretary Apostolos Papalois, and Treasurer Teuvo Antikainen. The Accreditation Review Board (ARB) conducts thorough assessments, including site visits and reviews by international experts, to uphold our high standards.

Accreditation Process

We offer accreditation to training centers across Europe and beyond. Centers can achieve accreditation in single or multiple specialties. Our accreditation process is ongoing, requiring yearly membership to maintain status. We do not accredit specific skills courses or content, but we focus on the overall quality and governance of the centers.

Events and Meetings

We hold two major meetings each year:

  • NASCE Business Meeting at Domus Medica Europaea in Brussels
  • NASCE Scientific Meeting, organised locally by accredited centres

These events provide a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaborative research, ensuring continuous professional development.
